Dental Care

Our skilled veterinarians will evaluate your pet's teeth and gums for any signs of dental disease during a dental exam. This includes examining the teeth for signs of decay, checking the gums for signs of inflammation, and assessing the overall health of your pet's mouth.

If dental disease is detected during a dental exam, we may recommend a teeth cleaning procedure to remove tartar and plaque buildup. This process involves using specialized equipment to remove buildup from the surface of the teeth and below the gum line.

We have one of two Vimago CT Scans in the entire state of Maryland, and we perform one with every dental procedure. We use this technology to produce three dimensional (3-D) images of your pet’s teeth, soft tissues, nerve pathways and bone in a single scan all in effort to diagnose dental problems such as cysts, anatomical abnormalities, orthodontic issues, bone fractures, and more.

Sometimes, tooth extractions may be necessary to address advanced dental disease or alleviate your pet's pain and discomfort. Our experienced veterinarians will carefully evaluate your pet's situation and make recommendations for treatment as necessary.
