At Homeward Bound Veterinary Services, we offer in-house heartworm tests that are quick, easy, and accurate. A small blood sample is taken from your pet and tested for heartworm proteins. Results are typically available 24-48 hours, and our team will provide detailed information about your pet's heartworm status and treatment options if needed.

We recommend annual heartworm testing for all pets, even those on preventative medication. Testing is especially important for pets who are new to your family and pets who have missed a dose of their preventive medication.
